Protein derived from eggs has long been touted as the most superior form of protein for muscle building.  Studies have also found that the proteins that are contained in eggs actually help control blood sugar levels in those with diabetes.  The study compared the effects of an egg breakfast with a breakfast containing protein from ham.  The findings illustrate the need to incorporate healthier choices of proteins, and that just eating protein is not always enough.  For the comparisons between different types of protein shakes, check out our article: Q&A: Protein Types and When to Take Them for Optimal Results.

This is good news for those who are trying to avoid fat storage by controlling their insulin levels!
